In love with this picture.

And not just because I’m in love with this pairing.

I love the artistry of it, the lighting, the snow effect and all that photography jargon I’m totally ignorant about. Not to mention, Chace and Leighton look great. It’s an amazing shot, isn’t it?

Can’t wait for this episode.. Nate-Blair fans of the world rejoice! (:

When words get in the way, there’s really only one thing left to do..

Use unedited pictures!

I woke up at 1:00 in the afternoon, just as I have the past few weeks. I was the typical Abbie (you all know and.. love?) today as I did my usual kikay kikay bading stuff. After showering and curling my hair (because I was in a good mood.. and we all know that when I’m happy and I know it, I curl my hair :P), I tried on a new style I am currently head over heels in love with, stood beside the tree and did my best top model-cum-red carpet pose (at least that’s what I was going for har har) with my no-makeup look. Forgive me, please. I am the quintessential girl. Hahaha.

Had dinner with Mark at Bigoli in Trinoma then had coffee at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf after. When two “reflectors” get together, the conversation never stops. Our topics ranged from the light and mundane to the profound and subterranean. Some of the topics that surfaced:

  • Filipino version of Twilight (imagine Filipino James saying “Nagdala ka ng merienda/chichirya?!” and that proverbial Edward-Bella exchange: “Alam ko kung ano ka..” “Sabihin mo. Sabihin mo!” “Bampira!”)
  • Future spouses and/or whether or not we approve of “dating”
  • How we know who our true friends are and about the year that was (*sings* “I’ll be there for you.. when the rain starts to pour!”)
  • Ghosts of unrequited love’s past (“So.. how’s your heart?” hahaha)
  • Multiple intelligences
  • Love languages
  • Dyslexia
  • Families (physical and spiritual)
  • Convictions

Etc. etc. Ü

So that’s pretty much how my day went. Figi, I missed you today!

Oh wait a minute, this entry wasn’t supposed to have words.. hahahaha.

I love Gossip Girl the TV series! WARNING: This has A LOT of spoilers. :)

November 23rd, 2007  Tagged

I warn you not to read this if you haven’t watched the 7th episode. (:

The hot cast. (from L-R: Dan, Serena, Chuck, Nate, Jenny, Blair)

Chuck and Blair goodness in the 10th episode Hi Society which hasn’t aired in the US yet.

I’ve been downloading a bunch of goodies from the internet (illegal goodies, but goodies nonetheless haha!) like songs, pictures, and even TV episodes and I stumbled upon Gossip Girl the TV series. I’ve already seen the first four episodes in YouTube and I missed the 5th and 6th ones (because those Warner Bros. bastards keep on deleting them), but I was able to see Episode 7 entitled Victor/Victrola.

And OMG, *MAJOR SPOILER ALERT HERE* Chuck and Blair hooked up! And the weird part is, I’m a fan of their totally unexpected get-together.. in the books, I never would have expected them to be together because in the books Chuck turned out to be gay, but since they changed SO MUCH in the show, I absolutely love them! They’re my favorite couple, they’re super hot together (even hotter than Nate-Blair) which is funny because the couple that they’re shoving down the viewers’ throats (Dan-Serena) turned out to be the cheesy, icky type whereas I think Chuck-Blair looked like some sort of an experiment (to cause a rift between best friends Nate and Chuck, I think) and it turned out to be, well.. a hit. (: I wasn’t able to watch the next episode after Victor/Victrola but I saw all of their clips in the next episode, Seventeen Candles where Blair celebrated her 17th birthday and she was frustrated with where her relationship with Nate is going.. well suffice to say, Chuck being Chuck, he manipulated his way into having Blair again, and it worked. I guess the reason I love them together is because they’re both evil in a protagonist kind of way (you know, they’re the people you LOVE to hate) and that’s also a huge reason I love their characters. (:

And I also love that it’s starting to become more about Blair than it is about Serena, just like it is in the books. When the show first started, I think Josh Schwartz went out of his way to make Serena the lead character (which I found totally wrong) and now the show is taking a completely different turn. Yey for Blair! I know for a fact a lot of girls could identify with her more (I know I could) than they can with Serena. Well, I guess to wrap this all up, my point is that THE SHOW IS JUST AS GOOD AS THE BOOKS even if they’re completely different.

I highly recommend it, even if you haven’t read any of the books (I think it’s better if you haven’t read the books actually.. I know I’ll be able to enjoy the show more (if that’s possible!) if I haven’t read the books so that I won’t have to complain about the alterations Josh Schwartz had to make). Ü

Undeserved Grace: Double Portion.

September 6th, 2007

"Instead of their shame,

and instead of disgrace,

      they will rejoice in their inheritance;

… and everlasting joy will be theirs."
